Abstract: As a strategy, sustainable development takes into account both the short-term needs, such social and economic fairness, and the long-term needs, like environmental protection and natural richness. The term "cloud computing" refers to the practice of making available shared pools of computing resources such as data storage, analytics, software, networks, databases, and servers in order to facilitate rapid innovation, scalability, and cost savings. This article delves into the green advantages of cloud computing, such as less carbon emissions, improved energy efficiency, and the possibility of integrating renewable energy sources. It goes on to talk about how cloud computing helps the economy and society in general by reducing costs, increasing productivity, and making technology more accessible. In its last section, the report explores the pros and cons of using cloud computing for environmental sustainability, as well as important directions for further study and legislative initiatives. In sum, the article contends that cloud computing might be a game-changer in the fight for sustainable development, but that further study and legislative intervention are required to bring this promise to fruition. This study delves into a wide range of cloud properties that contribute to sustainable growth, including their low maintenance requirements, beneficial economic effects, ability to pool resources, and extensive network connectivity. Additionally, this research delves into how modern cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure contribute to green growth. Finally, the article delves into possible security, administration, hidden cost, and lack of knowledge issues that might hinder cloud sustainability.
