AODV with trust model for routing in Manets

Author(s): Kendre Sharad

Abstract: The On-Demand Multicast Routing Algorithm is a novel approach to determining the best multicast path. In this project, we have suggested a highly adaptable MANET setting. Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are a kind of ad hoc network in which mobile devices are linked wirelessly in a continuous, self-ordered, and infrastructure-less network. It means determining whether or not a MANET user is trustworthy. A new, lightweight, subjective inference framework for assessing and predicting trust. The major focus of this study is on finding ways to lessen the energy demands of MANETs. Cluster-based routing is susceptible to voltage fluctuations, which may cause cluster heads to crash and fail. This makes it harder for the cluster's leadership to share data and coordinate their efforts to get it. In order to execute the proposed self-configurable cluster method, it is first essential to detect any unstable cluster heads. We provide a k-means based self-configuring approach to identifying cluster leaders. The k-means approach recommends adjusting the quantity of clusters or even the position of the clustered leaders on an ad hoc basis. Moreover, we suggest a trust management method to aid in the identification and mitigation of potential MANET security concerns. Due to the dynamic nature of the network and the scarcity of resources available, the trust management approach should only make use of locally gathered information (Energy, bandwidth, & processing power). The past actions of a node are considered throughout the trust evaluation process. In addition to finding the trust value, one of the most essential uses for the Routing Algorithm (RP) is to determine the best route for sending the packets gathered at the source node to the receivers. So, the suggested method using the k-means algorithm as well as its experimental results demonstrate decreased power consumption and give an ideal system for trust management, in comparison to conventional Procedures.
